Wayne Rooney (vs Manchester City- February 12, 2011)

The Italian fired home an acrobatic volley from the edge of the penalty area. The sensational volley remains one of the most famous goals for the Hammers in Premier League history, and it is one of the last memorials from Upton Park.

Tony Yeboah (vs Liverpool- August 21, 1995)

Tony Yeboah was no stranger to scoring spectacular goals throughout the 1990s, but one of his best efforts came against Liverpool in the 95-96 season. 

After being headed down by the Leeds forward, Yeboah smashed home a volley, which ricocheted into the net after hitting the crossbar. The effort is regarded by Leeds fans as one of the best goals to have been scored at Elland Road.  

Thierry Henry (vs Manchester United- October 1, 2000)

Thierry Henry was one of the world’s best players during his time in the Premier League, and one of his standout efforts was scored in a famous match against Manchester United in October 2000. 

After the ball was rolled into his feet, Henry flicked the ball up before shooting when pivoting. The ball would fly into the top right-hand corner of the United goal, with Fabien Barthez motionless. However, Arsenal would still come up short in their bid to win the title, as they finished ten points behind United. 

Jack Wilshere (vs Norwich- October 19, 2013)

One of the finest passing sequences that resulted in a goal in the Premier League was finished off by Jack Wilshere for Arsenal against Norwich City in October 2013. 

After winning the ball back, Wilshere glided up the field, before passing the ball off to Santi Cazorla, after playing a one-two with the Spaniard, it was played into Oliver Giroud, who flicked it back to Wilshere, with the stars playing a one-two until the English could calmly slot into the Norwich goal. 

Andros Townsend (vs Manchester City- December 22, 2018)

One of the shock results in the 2018-19 season came when Crystal Palace thumped Manchester City. 

The goal of the game was smashed home via a volley from outside of the penalty area by Andros Townsend. The effort was awarded the goal of the season award, but City still went on to win the league title by a one-point margin from Liverpool.

David Beckham (vs Wimbledon- August 17, 1996)

David Beckham’s superstardom was sent into overdrive in the 1996-97 season when he burst onto the scene with an effort from the halfway line against Wimbledon. 

The effort made international headlines, and would put Beckham on the path that would see him become the most recognisable soccer star on the planet.

Alan Shearer (vs Everton- December 28, 2002)

Alan Shearer is the most famous goal scorer in Premier League history, and his finest effort was netted against Everton in 2002-03. After the ball was sent long, it was headed down by Shearer’s strike partner. 

The Englishman wasted little time in getting his shot off, firing a powerful volley into the top corner of Everton’s net. 

Dennis Bergkamp (vs Newcastle- March 2, 2002)

One of the best individual goals in Premier League history was scored by Dennis Bergkamp against Newcastle United in March 2002. 

The Dutchman produced a magical flick with his back to goal to bamboozle his opposing defender, putting himself through on goal before he calmly slotted past the goalkeeper. It is regarded as one of the best technical goals in competition history.
