Luis Castillo struck out 10 in seven sparkling innings, helping the Chicago White Sox beat Rhett Lowder and the Cincinnati Reds 5-0 on Wednesday night. Castillo allowed one hit — Sal Stewart's single in the first — and walked two in his first win with Chicago. The right-hander, acquired in an Aug. 1 trade with Seattle, was tagged for five runs over four innings in his White Sox debut at Boston last week.

Catcher Adley Rutschman, who was acquired at last week's trade deadline, made his debut for the Red Sox on Tuesday night, collecting a single and two walks in Boston's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jays in Toronto.

Caitlin Clark had 27 points and 11 assists, Kelsey Mitchell added 23 points and the Indiana Fever set a franchise record for points in a game with their 123-88 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday night.
